How we calculate
Price per mg is calculated as listing price ÷ mg of compound. This normalizes across vial sizes — a 10mg vial at $70 ($7/mg) is more expensive than a 5mg vial at $30 ($6/mg).
Spread is the difference between the highest and lowest $/mg across all in-stock listings for a compound. Big spread = big savings opportunity for shoppers willing to compare.
Median vs Average matter. Average can be skewed by outliers (one supplier charging double). Median tells you the middle of the market — usually the more useful number for "is this a fair price?"
Statistics update as suppliers change pricing. Stale prices marked out-of-stock are excluded.
